interview with Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood

Guardian: How do you feel about female artists such as alanis Morissette and Chrissie Hynde perfomring live versions of your songs?

Greenwood: It's very cool. We've got a copy of Chrissie Hynde covering "Creep" and it's very good -- very flattering. I haven't heard Alanis Morisette's cover but we're actually going to be doing some dates with her in August. Artistically, it's cool; it's very good, considering we've only been around three years and already people like Chrissie Hynde are covering our songs. It's very flattering; we don't have a problem with it at all.
